The oddly-shaped Flat Iron building is so named due to its resemblance to an actual flat iron from the sky. This is just one of the many restored Edwardian buildings in Lacombe's downtown, and dates back to 1905. Inside is an interpretive centre highlighting the history of architecture in the city and displaying artifacts from its past.

The birthplace of Rt. Hon. Roland Michener, Governor General of Canada from 1967 - 1974. The house was built in 1894 and has been restored to the period. Free, open year round, Fri and Sat 1 pm - 4 pm.
